Erosion & Sediment Control

Permanent Erosion Control

Once an area of a site reaches final grade and configuration, temporary measures give way to permanent stabilization — sod, permanent vegetation establishment, and riprap on slopes and channels subject to ongoing flow. LES installs permanent erosion control as part of project closeout, supporting final stabilization documentation and NOT (Notice of Termination) filing.

What’s Included

  • Sod installation for immediate, permanent ground cover
  • Permanent vegetation and seeding establishment
  • Riprap installation on permanent channels, outfalls, and slopes
  • Final site walk-through to confirm stabilization coverage
  • Documentation supporting Notice of Termination filing

Frequently Asked Questions

Does permanent stabilization affect NOT filing?

Yes — final stabilization of the site is typically a prerequisite for filing a Notice of Termination under the NPDES Construction Generic Permit, so incomplete or undocumented stabilization can delay permit closeout.
