About LES
Built on Credentials, Not Claims
Local Environmental Services is the environmental field division for construction projects — bringing construction stormwater compliance, erosion and sediment control, and certified arboriculture under one accountable team instead of three different subcontractors.

From Tree Care to Field-Ready Site Compliance
Michael Feltner founded Local Environmental Services after building a background in tree care into a deeper specialty: the environmental compliance work that land developers, homebuilders, and municipalities depend on to keep projects permitted and moving. As an ISA Certified Arborist (FL-9716A), a Florida Stormwater, Erosion & Sedimentation Control Inspector — FSESCI Qualified Inspector — and a GI-BMP certified specialist (Certificate No. 35280), Michael holds the credentials to both assess site conditions and support BMP installation, maintenance, and inspection documentation — a combination that’s uncommon in the Central Florida market.
That field-and-inspection combination is the foundation LES is built on: most environmental contractors either install BMPs or document compliance, but not both under the same qualified inspector. LES does both. That means fewer handoffs, faster turnarounds, and a single point of accountability for BMP installation, maintenance, and inspection-ready documentation — from the moment a site is disturbed through final stabilization.
Michael is also a combat veteran, and LES is proudly veteran-owned. The same discipline and attention to detail that defined his service now shows up in every inspection report, SWPPP, and BMP installation LES delivers.
Today, LES works directly with developers, homebuilders, general contractors, civil engineers, and municipal agencies across Lake Mary and Central Florida — providing the compliance backbone for projects that can’t afford regulatory delays.
